Isle of Man Athletics Launches Island Games Crowdfunding Page

The Isle of Man Athletics Association is pleased to announce the launch of a fundraising initiative for the Island Games being held in Gotland in June 2017.

The Island Games is a key event in the athletics calendar for all those islands that participate in the games.  Isle of Man Athletics is looking to send a team of 30 to the games in Gotland (Sweden) this summer comprising 26 athletes, 3 managers and a sports therapist. It will cost approx. £1400 per person to send this team, much of which will be self-funded.

We are appealing to the athletics community, the general public and businesses of the Isle of Man to help fund the Athletics Team getting to the games.

In short, we want the Team Isle of Man Athletics to be powered into the Gotland 2017 games by the whole of our Island.

Island Games – Gotland 2017

The IOMAA is pleased to announce that it has published the athletics Selection Policy for the 2017 Island Games being held in Gotland.

Anyone wishing to be considered for selection and representing the Isle of Man in Gotland should complete and return a Declaration of Intent form to the Team Manager, Anthony Brand by 31st December 2016.

Full Factory to sponsor IOM team at Island Games

The IOMAA are pleased to make the following announcement: 

“Full Factory Winnerswear, the IOM leisure clothing brand, are delighted to be supporting the Isle of Man Athletics team at the Jersey 2015 Island Games by providing the team with tshirts and hoodies.  Full Factory provides leisure and gym clothing for a select group of athletes including the UK’s number one javelin thrower Lee Doran, London 2012 paralympic medallist, European 2014, Glasgow 2014 and 2013 World medallist Bethy Woodward, all Ireland schools 2015 senior cross country champions Kevin Mulcaire and Hope Sanders, as well as Isle of Man record holders Reagan Dee, Catherine Reid, Harriet Pryke and Rachael Franklin.
